  1. Years ago when a child I always (or so it seemed) had a story in my head entertaining me but I only once stuck with it to the end, when for a couple of days I had no story in my head. For the usual state of affairs was a second story would appear in my head and for a few days I’d be trying to tell both stories at the same time. But knew that one story would have to give way to the other, and it was always the old story which gave way to the new. Which I suppose is the way that it should be.

    • That sounds familiar! I also always had a story going in my head! Usually I have no trouble with the endings, but I hate middles. I don’t want to do the details bit when I can do beginnings and conclusions.

  2. I love it. So true. Playing piano gets like that too. It’s about creativity having a life of its own. It pokes and prods and drives us until we give in and give it free reign. And then jumps up and down like a delighted child…. filling us with joyful longing for more.

    • That is true! Piano is so just something that you do at first but after you have been playing for some minutes it’s like it starts going on its own and just takes you with it.
