Shakespeare cartoonified: Romeo and Juliet — Act I

Cover

Are you ready? Shall we dive straight into Act I? This post is very image-heavy.

Act I 1 Act I 2 Act I 3 Act I 4 Act I 5 Act I 6 Act I 7 Act I 8 Act I 9 Act I 10 Act I 11 Act I 12 Act I 13 Act I 14 Act I 15 Act I 16 Act I 17 Act I 18 Act I 19 Act I 20 Act I 21 Act I 22 Act I 23 Act I 24 Act I 25 Act I 26 Act I 27

In Act II we will learn how Romeo and Juliet handle the news that they’ve just fallen in love with their respective families’ worst enemies.

Obviously, this is a summary, not a definitive edition of the play. No-one could really copy Shakespeare and I couldn’t even illustrate all of it. Both Mercutio and the Nurse talk so much and most of it is hilarious. But if I had to include all of that I would need a post per scene, instead of per act.

Do you use any tool for the cartoons?

    • A tool as in a template or an online cartoon creator? No. I draw all of them myself in Inkscape.
