Laughter and books make life a little easier

Shakespeare cartoonified – The Merchant of Venice: part 4

I’M BACK! And so is ol’ Wills! Though this return may be a bit brief for the moment, I’m doing my best to get this blog back on its little feet. But I’ll explain more below. For now, let’s get back to the cartoon. As I’m sure you’ve forgotten everything that’s already happened in this series (I know I have), here are the other parts: part 1part 2 and part 3. And now for the fourth part!

Man, this series just keeps getting longer and longer. I thought we would have reached the end by now, but actually we are only ready to plunge into the endlessly long Act IV next time.

Anyway, I don’t have a lot of time for a long update because I still have so many things to do before we leave on holiday tomorrow. This post should have gone up a week ago, but I had a freelance job this past week that I had to complete and before that I had exams and about a million research papers to write. I haven’t blogged in two months! I mean, I missed my own bloggiversary! Two years old and it just flew by. My poor blog…

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about whether it is even worth continuing to blog because I don’t think I have a single reader left. My stats have certainly flat-lined due to my inactivity. But as soon as I started drawing the next frame, I realised that I still want to do this. I still want to make fun of Shakespeare (even though I am very fond of him really) and I still want to tell you about all the stupid funny things that happened to me, preferably through cartoon. Even if I have to build this blog all over again and attract a whole new bunch of readers, I still want to do this. Anyhow, if you are reading this, would you mind leaving me a comment so that I know if you’re still there?

I don’t have a bunch of fancy stuff queued up like last year. I’ve been way too busy the past month or so. But I’ll see what I can do once I am on holiday. I mean, it’s not as though I have that much to say to my family really. And it’ll probably rain all the time, so I’ll just be on my computer all day.

So long story short, I’m back, I’ll try to remain back and I’ll see if I can post a life-update soon, before continuing to draw more cartoons. If you really miss me (ha!), there’s a link to my Twitter in the sidebar. I will probably still be tweeting.  I have to go now and run around like a crazy person. Ah! So much to do and so much to forget at home! 😆

    • I always see your name come up on my notifications, so it’s great to see you’re still here! 😀

  2. I totally love these, and I’m always excited to see one of your updates in my inbox!! I’m terrible at being a consistent commentator, but I would be very, very sad if you stopped blogging!! I’m glad you want to do these, though, and not just for us. I wrote a story a while back that was set in a very specific world (it was fan fiction) that no one was really aware of. Well, ONE person read it. She’d never even seen the show it was based off of, but it was because of her enjoyment I kept posting. And it turned out to be the most fun I’ve ever had writing a story! 😀 So keep going, girl! And if I fall off the face of the earth now and then and don’t comment my appreciation, keep going anyway! Because you’re awesome!

    • Considering how long I took to reply to this comment, I cannot blame anyone for being inconsistent commentators! Anyway, that isn’t even a thing. It’s nobody’s job to comment on blogs… at least I don’t think so…
Don’t worry, I wouldn’t stop blogging. Not because of lack of interest anyway. Real life crises and stuff like that might stop me, but lots of homework and lack of viewers? Never. I’d do this even if I only had 5 viewers. Okay, maybe not 5, but definitely 10, which is good, because I think that is how many views I had yesterday. 😛 Mostly, I was just curious if any readers were still around. “Amount of readers” and “keeping going” are not linked for me.
      Also, thanks! 🙂
